Our public seminars make great business sense - especially
when you only have a few people to train at a time or you want
to train an in-house instructor. For a larger number of participants or specialized instruction, in-house seminars are very cost-
effective. The most common standard seminar formats can be modified, as desired.
We are the
premier trainers
for the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)®. Over 22,000 participants
from utilities, industries, contractors, and regulatory agencies have attended our
in-house and public courses. The PCU Training Center offers NESC seminars and other training led by NESC past Chair Allen L. Clapp, P.E., P.L.S., and John B. Dagenhart, P.E. and other nationally recognized experts.
The PCU Training Center
offers courses for standards engineers, design engineers, line staking technicians, line workers, attorneys, risk managers, and accident investigators.
PCUTC offers several seminars of various lengths on Investigating and Litigating Utility Contact Accidents.
Our seminars on the Physical
Design of Joint-Use Wood Pole Distribution
Lines cover (a) how to meet required clearances and (b) how to determine required loadings, strength requirements, and span limits based upon applicable wind and ice loadings, extreme wind on bare wires, and temperature differentials.
A new seminar next summer is Arc Flash Analysis and Selection of Clothing Systems to Protect Electric Power and Communication Utility Employees.
We also offer seminars
and workshops on:
•
NESC Clearances and Grounding Rules.
•
Joint-Use Wood Pole Line Design: Required Loading & Strengths Special O-Calc Edition
